New Year and the Broken Pumpkin
First of all, have a happy and warm 2007. By warm I meant anytime during the year you should be feeling warm and melting. Why do I wish you to melt? I don’t. It is inevitable that global warming is causing the weather to go crazy. No matter where you live, you are used to a certain type of weather and temperature. Cool or warm, you will feel the difference, and at some point, you will be pissed. I live in Los Angeles. It is Winter and it should be cold but it seams that the parents of earth are having too much fun partying and getting drunk that they forgot to control the weather cast. One day you go out in the morning and it is freezing, so you take you jacket with you, and at noon it is so darn hot that you feel like taking of your shirt and pants and jump into a nice cool water swimming pool. That is when you don’t find yourself a pool and get pissed off and start to melt. Another day it might be so freezing that you run home to be in front of fireplace. Later you will find yourself sleep and melting inside a blanket next to the fireplace. So, either way you will melt.
Second of all, I would like to wish you a year full of success and happiness. To you, success might be getting a new job, graduating from school, wining some money in the stock market, changing a relationship, losing your mind (I know someone who loves to lose his mind, that is his way of success), or whatever; I am not going to write two pages and list every single thing I can think of. I need some sleep OK, and this is keeping me up enough. Happiness come from you too. I cannot make you happy, nor anyone else. So, if you are not happy I wish you that you will find a way to make yourself happy.
Lastly, be passionate. This is my favorite wish for everyone. I cannot live without passion. I meant all of us should be passionate about something, right? That is what helps you to move on. It actually directly links to happiness. So, I wish you a new year full of passion.
And the pumpkin, you may wonder, came from my brother’s neighbor, and was broken, and I regret that I found it late, otherwise there would a nice pumpkin pie on the table prepared by me.
